Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently two years through the four-year contract he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the first significant honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he once was, and would certainly contemplate prolonging his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
